Pre production- Evaluation of Phone booth

Antagonist
The phone character we don't know his appearance and identity is keeped a secret till the end.
Character is sarcastic,misleading dry sense of humour.Knows ever detail of Stu's life and his lies. From what he says we can tell he doesn't like liers and that his motivation is good for all.Wants people to be truthful however hard it may be for them in their lives. His character misleads Stu by changes his mind about what he could do e.g him being freed.His character is taken as seriously at the start but after the shooting we can tell he is serious.

Protagonist
This character(Stu) a publicist He comes across cocky and arrogant. no respect for people around him and treats people badly taking whats he can from them.However he changes because of the Antagonist character finds his weakness and then Stu starts become guilty and the antagonist has a power over him He changes his attitude when he is faced with his own death. his character is meant to be a victim put it has portrayed him as the bad guy because of his lies and his behaviour

Thriller conventions: setting/narrative/mise-en-scene/key themes
Technology used well and setting the mood of the thriller.
Reaction shots and being able to see more than one reaction shot using new technology e.g seeing Stu in the phone booth and his wife picking up the call in the corner of the shot.
the framing was rough to represents his hectic lifestyle;e and new york area always being packed and busy with people going every were.
the editing was edited in this way to show perspectives of the different character towards the situation.It let the audience see what each character was doing and thinking.The editing was close ins type to make us feel that Stu feels in closed and cant escaped his lies.The music used was to create suspense ands tension.The music changed after the shooting to very quiet and subdued so the audience would know what would happen next.

The opening of the film:
Starts of music gospel clouds emerging then a satellite telephone system straight to mobile conversation.The music changes to the gospel music emerging into street music fitting into the shot of new york city.There's fast shots and cuts at the start to represented the character and new york.
